The Reptile Discovery Center offers an excellent and reasonable half day event and is in close proximity to a host of other unique and exciting Volusia County destinations. Visit the Deland Airport and world famous Skydive Deland have lunch as you are surrounded by landing parachutists. Minutes away both Ponce Deleon Springs and Blue Spring State Park offer a naturalists paradise and swimming, canoeing or hiking in some of Central Florida's most spectacular settings. Historic Downtown Deland and Stetson University offer shopping, walking and are in close proximity to The Deland Art Museum and numerous galleries and restaurants. Just 20 minutes to the east is the beautiful Volusia County coastline and some of Florida's most famous and well known beaches, an outdoor enthusiasts paradise.
